Ansari Calls Out Trump and Congressional Republicans’ Reckless Reconciliation Bill
WASHINGTON – Tomorrow, July 1 starting at 8 AM EST, Representative Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03)will lead a ‘Read-In for Our Future’ at the U.S. Capitol, calling out Donald Trump and Republicans for pushing a reckless reconciliation bill that will devastate young people’s future across our country.
Rep. Ansari, the youngest woman in Congress, will be joined by additional Members, advocacy organizations, and students to read line-by-line from Trump and Republicans ‘Big Ugly Bill,’ exposing the devastating impact it will have on our healthcare, climate, housing, education, and basic economic security.
“Trump and Republicans’ reconciliation bill is a complete disaster for the future of young people in Arizona and across our nation,” said Rep Ansari. “As the youngest woman in Congress, I know that if this bill passes, it will make it harder than it already is for young people to build their futures–from securing healthcare to being able to buy a home. And it’s all so Republicans can push through the largest transfer of wealth in American history. That’s why we’re exposing every part of it.”
