Grijalva would be deciding signature on Epstein files discharge petition
WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03) sent a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson urging his swift action in swearing in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva (AZ-07) to the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Adelita is the fighter Arizona’s Seventh District needs right now–and unofficial results have her winning in a landslide,” said Ansari. “With her vote, southern Arizonans will have a voice in Congress before a Republican-driven government shutdown brings our legislating body to a standstill, and, with her signature, we can finally push the discharge petition to release the Epstein files over its final hurdle.”

This week, voters in Southern Arizona spoke loudly and clearly when they elected Adelita
Grijalva to represent them in Congress. They deserve to have their voices heard here in
Washington without delay.
With the government funding deadline approaching and Americans’ health care hanging in the
balance, the people of Arizona’s 7th District cannot afford to go without a representative. I urge
you to seat Representative-elect Grijalva immediately so she can get to work on behalf of her
district.
