??Launching the first-ever Center for Heat Preparedness in the U.S. at ASU??
I'm incredibly proud to have secured over $2 million in federal investments to create the @arizonastateuniversity Center for Heat Preparedness. This builds on work I’ve been doing for years — first locally here in Phoenix and now in Congress. I fought for this investment because Arizonans know that extreme heat is dangerous. We see it in our neighborhoods, in our hospitals and emergency rooms, and our power grid. We see it affecting people who work outside, older adults, families, and people experiencing homelessness. This Center is ready to tackle our extreme heat challenges. It will work on research and solutions that connect the dots between heat, water, energy, public health, and infrastructure—and then turn that research into practical solutions for all Arizonans.
