Honoring Orange Shirt Day with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe
I joined the Pascua Yaqui Tribe in Guadalupe for an Orange Shirt Day gathering to honor the survivors of residential boarding schools and remember the children who were separated from their families and tribes. This gathering was a reminder that healing cannot happen by forgetting, but by listening to survivors, elders, families, and tribal leaders. Beyond grateful for the opportunity to learn and stand in solidarity with the Pascua Yaqui community.
