Funding would support public safety, environmental protection, infrastructure, and more in Arizona’s Third District
PHOENIX – Today, Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari announced that fourteen of her community projects in Arizona’s Third Congressional District were included in Republicans’ draft appropriations bills that will be considered by the full House of Representatives later this year. Together, these projects would bring over $16,175,000 back to Arizona’s Third District. The projects Ansari submitted will support communities in Phoenix, Glendale, and Guadalupe with much-needed infrastructure improvements, environmental protection, social support services, and more.
The projects must make it through the final steps of the Republican-controlled appropriations process and be enacted as part of the FY2026 budget. Submitting Community Project Funding requests is the process by which Members of Congress can request funding for specific projects in their district in annual funding bills. Which projects get funded, and the level at which they are funded, is at the discretion of the House Appropriations Committee.
