PHOENIX – Yesterday, more than 12,500 Arizonans tuned into Representative Yassamin Ansari’s (AZ-03) Tele-Town Hall with Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, where they provided crucial updates to constituents on federal lawsuits, the damaging effects of harmful budget cuts proposed by Donald Trump and Elon Musk, and ongoing efforts to fight back against these policies that threaten Arizona families.
“Right now, we’re seeing so many extreme actions from the Trump administration—from attempts to end birthright citizenship, to shutting down federal agencies, to putting veterans out of work,” said Rep. Ansari. “I want you to know that I’m doing everything in my power to stand up to these harmful actions, even as Trump works to avoid accountability. That’s why I voted no on the damaging Republican continuing resolution that came to the House Floor this week. I’m committed to fighting for a funding extension that will keep the government open and allow for real bipartisan compromise.”

“Let’s be clear—chaos is not efficient, slashing jobs, gutting essential services, and leaving communities scrambling to pick up the pieces is not efficiency. I took an oath, like the Congresswoman did, to uphold the constitution of the United States and the state of Arizona, and we will continue to do that for as long as I am Attorney General.”
