Ansari Submits Over $30 Million in Requests for FY2026 Community Project Funding

Funding would support public safety, environmental protection, infrastructure, and more in Arizona’s Third District

PHOENIX – Today, after a highly competitive process, Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari announced that she submitted funding requests for 15 community projects in Arizona’s Third Congressional District totaling $30,134,575. If approved through the Republican-controlled Congressional appropriations process, the funds will be enacted in the FY2026 budget to support communities in Phoenix, Glendale, and Guadalupe with much-needed infrastructure improvements, environmental protection, social support services, and more.

“I’m proud to have worked closely with constituents, city governments, and local organizations to submit funding requests that address the most urgent needs of our community,” said Rep. Ansari. “These projects will promote economic and community development by prioritizing infrastructure investment, public safety, domestic manufacturing, and workforce development. From revitalizing parks in Guadalupe to improving efficiency at Sky Harbor, the projects we’re fighting for will be transformative for our community.”

Submitting Community Project Funding requests is the process by which Members of Congress can request funding for specific projects in their district in annual funding bills. Which projects get funded, and the level at which they are funded, is at the discretion of the House Appropriations Committee.
