Like many in Arizona, Rep. Yassamin Ansari is the proud daughter of immigrants who came to the United States in pursuit of a better life. This country welcomed them, giving them the opportunity to achieve the American Dream. In Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District, over 64 languages are spoken—a testament to the rich diversity that strengthens our communities. Rep. Ansari believes that immigrants are essential to our culture, economy, and shared future.

In Congress, Rep. Ansari’s first piece of legislation was a resolution celebrating the contributions of immigrants and opposing discriminatory immigration policies. She has also advocated for the American Dream and Promise Act and introduced legislation to recognize March as Iranian Heritage Month. She is committed to continuing to fight for the diverse communities of AZ-03.

Rep. Ansari believes that we can have a secure border, be pro-immigration, and have an economy that works for everyone.
